Beadlow Manor 5   St Andrews 1

The Alamos Golf Course is the more difficult of the two golf courses that will be played over the four days, it can best be described as undulating with several raised and therefore very exposed tees. There are plenty of natural hazards to negotiate on the front nine holes before the fairways become very narrow, every hole has strategically placed bunkers and it is a challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Today the weather can best be described as barmy, warm and sunny but with a very strong wind circulating around the golf course, at 6,244 yards off the white tees the Alamos course proved to be a tough challenge for both teams.

There were some outstanding performances today as Beadlow Manor beat St. Andrews 5 and 1. Luke’s opponent played off scratch and Luke won the match 7 and 6 while Will found himself five holes down at the turn and came back to win on the 18th. All of the players have now contributed to our two from two winning start.

Tomorrow we have a later start time and will be playing Mold another Welsh team with a pedigree for producing Welsh Champions so we expect another tough day.

As it stands Beadlow Manor sit top of group B with 4 points with both Welsh teams on 2 and St Andrews yet to score.

This evening the teams will have their briefing with Sky Sports before dinner and an early night.
